Exhibition
NNP Raisins at Anuga 2025.
Five days at Koelnmesse, at one of the world's leading food trade fairs — and the only one in this run that does not come round every year.
- Dates
- 4–8 Oct 2025
- Venue
- Koelnmesse, Cologne
- Held
- Every two years
At the stand
Cologne, every second October.
Anuga runs once every two years, so an exporter gets one week of it per cycle and the next is not until October 2027. The 2025 edition was the largest in the fair's history: Koelnmesse counted around 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries and more than 140,000 trade visitors, 94 per cent of them from outside Germany.
We took a stand of our own and showed the export range on it, under the Uzbek flag and beside the certification. For a producer whose fruit is dried in Samarkand and shipped in containers, five days in Cologne is the shortest way to stand in front of the people who buy it.
Who came
Europe, asking the same four questions.
Across the five days our team met importers, distributors and food manufacturers. The questions a European buyer brings to a stand are consistent and they are narrow: caliber, moisture, which certificates are current, and how quickly a container can be loaded. All four are answerable at a counter in about a minute, which is the whole argument for being there.
Thank you to everyone who stopped at the cabinets. Anuga is judged long after it closes, by which of the conversations are still going in the spring — and on that measure the 2025 edition earned its week.
